Japanese Language

Rika Minama joined the instructional staff following the center’s grand opening in October 2025. As part of the inaugural faculty, she oversees the Japanese language program, which is one of the core offerings alongside traditional arts like Shodo, Taiko, and various martial arts.

• Instructional Focus: Her courses emphasize both linguistic proficiency and cultural context, often integrating the history and traditions of Japan.

• Community Role: She is instrumental in developing the center’s educational outreach, helping to establish the Redlands Japanese Cultural Center as a central hub for Japanese studies in Redlands.
